I wouldn't say it's evolving into a totalitarian regime ... LIFE has always been the owner of the site; it's ALWAYS been a totalitarian regime. Though we try for more of a "benevolent dictatorship" feel to the place - complete with secret police and secret prisons so you don't comment on the seamy side of life. Or LIFE.

Not that the Dearest Dictator has a seamy side, of course.
