Staffing Update

#1  Postby starr » Sep 06, 2010 10:03 am

Hello everyone,

I am very sad to say that Jan has decided to leave the staff team here. She has been instrumental in helping us get this forum off the ground and I can't thank her enough for all her support and guidance both here and in our previous lives at RDF.

Jan's humour, intelligence and expert advice will be very much missed by all of the staff. She has assured us that she is not leaving the forum which we are all relieved about.

Thank you Jan, for everything

In other news, I want to announce that kiore and stijndeloose have agreed to take on the extra responsibility of becoming global moderators on the forum. They are both excellent moderators and I'm very pleased to see them in this role. Congratulations guys!

Thanks guys

I love this forum and all the staff here are so dedicated, talented and great fun to work with! I just don't have the time to commit to the work and read/post. I'll continue to be a very supportive forum member as this place has the best rational discussions I've seen anywhere and combines that with lots of fun threads so it's a great place to be.

Congrats to Ratty and Stijn - you'll be brilliant (as always!).

Jan, I know that you weren't sure whether you wanted to resume MOD duties when we all came over to the lifeboat, due to your concerns about the time involved. We pushed hard for you to resume the mantle, and you accepted. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, the more so since you were a bit reluctant at first - you gave it a good shot, provided a good service, and if you assess that you truly don't have the time any more, who are we to argue?

Thanks again (again ;) ), and glad you'll be sticking around.

Jan, Jan, Jan. Jannity, Jannity, Jannity. I'll miss you a lot around the Mod forums. You were a calming influence for me when I was shooting off expletives and having little cries. You always seemed to know what to do. Plus you used to make me crease up with your occasional (and therefore all the more effective) potty mouth. You were a great mod Jan, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this forum.

Stijn, kiore, well done on your much deserved greeniness. Both excellent choices. This is great, I have two new people to whine to.
