Upcoming server downtimes

#1  Postby LIFE » Jul 06, 2010 3:08 am

Just a heads-up:

We will have a few short downtimes during the next few days, starting in a few hours.

They'll only last a few minutes (or so they told me) as the server software gets updated through the host provider to keep the system up-to-date and secure. I'm running an on-the-fly backup right now, so no worries, nothing will be lost :dopey:

This is the mail I got:

Internal maintenance is due between 06/07/2010 until 08/07/2010 from 6-9am (GMT +1).

On one of the days mentioned above, your product will not be available for approx. 15 minutes within the mentioned time frame.

We are anxious to complete the maintenance works as fast as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

Who do you think is running the "downtime"?
So the reason why God created the universe, including millions of years of human and animal suffering, and the extinction of entire species, is so that some humans who have passed his test can be with him forever. I see.

Where would one get such a thing?

I know John Terry's performance against Germany was dire, but surely it wasn't THAT bad!

Why does Yahweh uses the same verification system as charlatans, con-men and magicians?

Errr, thanks for your offer, but ... I think I'll go for a more sensible and constructive way of spending my time, like banging my head against a wall. At least a wall is real.

As is the Vatican.

One day, when I finally get off my ass and leave the RCC (since, nominally I'm still a member) I'm going to write a long letter to the Vatican, explaining in detail why I think they are the sorriest pricks on this planet, and why the pope especially would do well to walk into the Tiber and never come back out. I hope to get excommunicated for it. How fucking cool would that be?
