LIFE wrote:We won't have an animated logo, at least not on the site itself.

Damn right - animated logos look tacky as anything other than introductions to animations themselves (such as at the beginning of a promotional video).

And HomerJay: I just use 'supper' synonymously with 'dinner'. Fuck what Wikipedia says!

I'm afraid supper and dinner are two different events. Don't make me start a thread on this.

Since this tangential diversion has been erected, I've been known to have chocolate gateau for breakfast. And, I have witnesses.

Meanwhile, I see #5 is pulling ahead in the race. Nice to see I've picked a front runner for a change!

#8 would be the best if it were more colorful.

I shotgunned a beer at 10am for breakfast last week before going to see the Queen in Ottawa. I think every it's every Irish persons duty to only lay eyes on the Queen while highly intoxicated.

Now see, the horse head with the garish border would make a great logo for the site.

8 and 14 are too close to religious icons; 14 in particular is synonymous with a corporation called Scripture Union.
Though it appears they have changed their logo somewhat. There are plenty of candle and sun images that those two evoke feelings of awe worship reverence etc. /

I know, that candles and sun icons are inherently secular and have been tarnished by association. But y'know, once bitten...

'Course if #8 had the R and S orbiting the sun/nucleus perhaps that would work...for me. but I didn't apply a design so good luck to the winners.

Don't be so sure newolder; there was this bloke who happened to mention in passing some nice sounding stuff on a mountain of olives and there are still people quoting him!

I can't wait till the Church of Monty Python get going

I can't help but wonder would it be easier to vote off the images we don't like? Maybe have a tick for vote up with a o for a second preference and an x for vote down?

It does seem that the old people here prefer #14, middle agers #8, kids like #9 and people with class and style lean to #5 or #6
