Love this, it (or one like it) inspired this poem of mine:
When Galaxies Collide
Looking out into the depths of the
Universe they saw the pinwheels,
the irregulars, the ellipticals.
Millions and billions of
years into the past
they scanned.
But none like
their own
home galaxy.
Surely this meant
they were special, they
were the chosen ones.
