Hijacking the thread, just to remind people that the Leonids meteor shower should be visible (cloud cover might be an issue for some) tonight & into the early hours of Friday.

Paula, it'll be raining up your way, but if we see any meteors, we'll tell you how good it was

RE: the Leonids - we're getting snow tonight, but this shower is one to see if you can. I once saw it in the high desert in California, at our National Training Center just South of Death Valley - absolutely amazing. Better than all but the best Perseids in my personal experience.
