I can't be having with this at all.

He's got less hair than me, is better looking, and has medals and shit.

No, he's got to go.

Goldilocks, you'll just have to post that scary picture of you "doing the kick"!

Great photo, Larian, and thank you for letting us civilians post here.

OK, no bling and just a lowly private... ;) That's me in the autumn of 1986, being a fresh conscript. 10 months as a rifle company HQ squad leader, ended up as a corporal.

No official photo, but here's the cover of an article on my submarine at the time (Sandy & Sandy up top);

And I'm in the lower right shot with arm and head up... neither of us were sonarmen - I was Combat Information Operations (Radar...) and Andy was a medic - but in boats you cross-train to be able to handle any and all systems to at least a level of basic competency (except radio... for security reasons).

We weren't much on uniforms at sea - mine was a bartender's jacket I traded for sumptin' in San Juan.

Unfortunately I don't think I have any pictures of me on my submarine or in uniform. I was never one for pictures in uniform though.

Well, this isn't my Offical Photo, but it is me in my Dress Blues at my sister's wedding. Also, you get to see my twin brother in his kilt.

Yearly training starts tomorrow, so going through the equipment to check if everything is in order.
Here's me wearing my favorite hat, BF'en (BjørneFitta).

You named your hat?

Always nice to see someone armed in their kitchen!

How long does the training last?

It's a common military word for the hat,(urbandictionary) shortened to BF.

Defending my beer. :bat:
Nora_Leonard wrote:How long does the training last?

Only a week, so I'll be back soon. It should be longer but because of costs and cutbacks in army spending they cant afford it.

Good luck! You're obviously much fitter than me ;-) (At least, I'm assuming there's a lot of physical training involved?)

Just keep reminding yourself, SGU when you get back!

I might be fitter, not sure. All that jumping and running you do in MOUL... :)
There's some close combat training, and practicing urban assault tactics. And shooting at targets of course.

SGU, something to look forward to.

I love that load-bearing vest of yours - of all the ones I've seen, I think it's the best of the non-modular models. Great adjustments, good versatility - I'm working on trading for one.

I agree, very versatile. A major step up from what we used to have:

I did a bit of googling and found some who sells the vest, approx 160$ for a used one http://www.game-on.no/webshop/norskstri ... p-669.html

Edit. But you are probably talking this one http://translate.google.com/translate?j ... 30&act=url
