Dog and cat licks dangerous?

How Dog and Cat 'Kisses' Can Turn Deadly - National Geographic

That’s an article I saw on my news app. Firstly, can everyone see it? My iPad opens it in News, but I don’t know if it works for everyone.

Well cat licks can definitely be dangerous. We've had no end of trouble with them in Ireland. Recommended you keep them away from children.

Of course, we have to remember that Fox owns National Geographic. Fox is not motivated by reality or fact.

I get dings and scratches all the time. Fuckin’ blackberries get me probably every time I mow. My dogs lick those scratches all the time.

I’ve had dogs since my earliest memories that do that, we never gave it a thought.

I have a skin infection on my arm that dates back to a tiny cat bite in 2014.
Very stubborn, a rough patch of skin develops, about the diameter of a pea, and the skin just thickens and cracks until it starts itching and ends up getting picked off, often down to blood. Started with one, blossomed to about 15 patches, now only 3 active, I keep thinking it is going away then one flares up again.

Well, the little dog in the article I linked caused plenty of problems. But now, we have two data points implicating cats.

Cats. Evil. I knew it.
