This is another area of study I would love to pursue. I've been fascinated by hydrothermal vents since I was a kid.

My favourite Blue Planet episode was the deep sea one. I always felt it was a mistake for the BBC to show that episode first in the series. After that it was - whales, dolphins, seals, penguins, sharks; seen 'em.

I think they were excited to have the first footage of loads of these creatures. Pretty good way of grabbing people's interest.

I am still trawling through the complete Attenborough collection I was given Christmas 2010 - there's SO much viewing time here, I think it will last me most of this year too!

My friend got that too, same year. We always watch it when I'm over. I don't even think we've seen half.

The great thing about is that my gf can happily watch it without needing to understand the English. It's tapped into an undiscovered interest in the natural world for her!

That was released years after the Life Collection, so no! :)

In fact, it's the only one of all his programmes I don't have!

Same thing, but in the Caribbean sea. They found a 4cm shrimp, living in waters above 400 degrees
