Scientists have finally figured out how cancer spreads

Scientists have finally figured out how cancer spreads through the bloodstream

In what could be a major step forward in our understanding of how cancer moves around the body, researchers have observed the spread of cancer cells from the initial tumour to the bloodstream.

The findings suggest that secondary growths called metastases 'punch' their way through the walls of small blood vessels by targeting a molecule known as Death Receptor 6 (no, really, that's what it's called). This then sets off a self-destruct process in the blood vessels, allowing the cancer to spread.

According to the team from Goethe University Frankfurt and the Max Planck Institute in Germany, disabling Death Receptor 6 (DR6) may effectively block the spread of cancerous cells - so long as there aren't alternative ways for the cancer to access the bloodstream.

"This mechanism could be a promising starting point for treatments to prevent the formation of metastases," said lead researcher Stefan Offermanns.

Catching these secondary growths is incredibly important, because most cancer deaths are caused not by the original tumour, but by the cancer spreading.

To break through the walls of blood vessels, cancer cells target the body's endothelial cells, which line the interior surface of blood and lymphatic vessels. They do this via a process known as necroptosis - or 'programmed cell death' - which is prompted by cellular damage.

The idea that cancer cells punch holes in membrane walls and get through is old but it doesn't make sense nor is it consistent with the bigger picture. The problem scientists have, and don't want to admit, is the immune system assists the cancer cells in all stages, from their inception to their travel to their final destination.

Cancer stem cells cannot travel, let alone to a specific site, without the immune system's help.. 110%.
Immune cells release histamine which causes tissue permeability. This enables the cancer stem cells to get through membranes and tissues. The immune cells then protect the cancer stem cells in the bloodstream. They are coats with platelets to protect them. There are run and chase episodes in the bloodstream, by which the cancer cells are able to follow the immune cells' lead. This is enabled by chemotaxis. The immune cells release chemicals that act as stimuli to which the cancer cells respond and hence are able to follow the immune cells.

The cancer cells do not exit where ever. They aim to go to specific locations and these locations have been prepared before hand by immune cells. The cancer stem cells give off exosomes that the immune cells pick up in the primary site and these exosome direct the immune cells to specific locations long before metastasis takes place.

Near the desired location the immune cells secrete adhesion molecules enabling cancer stem cells to stick to the blood vessel. wall. Remember the blood is traveling fairly rapidly. To exit at a specific location they need to be able to stop at the right place. The immune cells then release more histamine enabling tissue permeability so that they and the cancer cells can exit the vessels and enter the tissue. Even in the tissue there may be another run and chase episode using chemotaxis to arrive at the final location where the new cancer is to be established. And here again the immune cells assist the cancer cells as also other cells in the area that had been prepared by the immune cells, eg stromal cells, before the metastasis trip takes place.

The problem is that scientists have a theory, the immuno-editing garbage, which they are wedded to otherwise they lose their funding. Immune system cells NEVER kill cancer cells. I have no doubt that this theory was dreamt up by some big pharma executives with the help of willing scientists. And then some Mickey Mouse was organized in the lab to justify it. I have stopped on looking into that and this reminds me I have to get back on track.

Drug companies cannot sell immunotherapy to the public if it is known that the immune system assists the cancer cells. I would say the death receptors, aptly named, are a way around the problem. And notice they say "Scientists have finally figured out how cancer spreads through the bloodstream" in the title but then say "The findings suggest that... blah, blah, blah" in the actual text. And they can get away with it because they can later say "oh then we thought blah, blah, blah, and now we know.. whatever the new story is going to be. IMO it is all rubbish.

In which case, why does immunosuppression lead to greater cancer rates?

Uh.

I think we've known how cancer spread for a long time?

Going to read the article to figure out what exactly they mean by "how cancer spreads". Going to continue to ignore kyrani99 though.

It is believed that the efficiency of the immune system is boosted by 10% in the presence of cancer and a toxic thought environment.

Ever since Kyranni told me that it was my own fault that I lost a testicle to cancer, I have been wondering what I can do to protect the other one. I have been thinking about keeping a crystal in my underwear. But which one?

I know that apatite protects against cancer of the stomach and bowels, and fluorite protects against cancer of the gums and throat. So, I am thinking that gonadrite would be the right choice. What do you all think?

As I haven't got an informed knowledge of crystal healing I am obviously an expert and you should definitely listen to me.

Your case obviously calls for a prosthetic alum crystal ball.

1. It's a ball and that obviously makes sense.

2. Being a crstal ball you will be able to divine the intentions of toxic people and get useful advice from all your past incarnations.

3. All the aluminium will shield your remaining ball from the toxic mindbeams of the toxic nasty people around you.

4. It will act as a deodorant, thus providing a small non-imaginary benefit.

There is no evidence on the net that transplant patients with depressed immunity get cancer prior to 2010. However Professor Hanahan stated that there was no evidence that depressed immunity exposes the person to cancer. And I know people on other forums that have had kidney and other transplants 30 and 40 years ago and have not had cancer.

I think the recent data indicates foul play. I would say people have been targeted to help make the immuno-editing theory stick.

There is evidence in that people of a particular type of cancer all have enough common genes for doctors to not only identify signature but use them for more accurate diagnosis. This shows that the whole clonal theory is wrong. There are no random mutations.

I got nothing more to say on here.
