I mean, WTF? This was posted on an Islamic page. It claims there is bacteria on one wing of a fly, and the anti-bacterial agent on the other wing.
This somehow proves the qur'an is correct. Something about Muhammad saying there is poison on one wing and the antidote on the other, so if a fly land in your drink, turn it over so it spill the antidote.....Or some bollocks.

Anyway. I can't find anything about it except for a few fundie blogs (That raises suspicions  )
Anyone know WTF they're talking about?

:eh:

I love when religionuts try to use science as proof of their particular doctrine, but in the process totally reduce the original metaphor to meaningless drivel.

And then we're called "unscientific"

All it goes to show is that if there is a place where bacteria thrive that there will also be organisms that eat or parasitise bacteria there too. Nothing surprising there really at all.

What if the wing with the antidote falls in your drink and then you turn it over and you add the poison to your drink... do you want to take that chance?

WELL DO YOU?
