Demon haunted world was good I just read it recently, I was hoping for something new that debunks the December 21 2012 higher consciousness shift. I know Dawkins has a new book spirit of the soul, I did a google search " new skeptic books" but didn't find anything post "the shift" micheal shermer talks about it with joe rogan but I was hoping for a book on all the new woo.

Derren, to be precise. I just got Confessions of a Conjuror for Christmas.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

If you're interested, part 4/5 talks about how Derren made promises about showing you how he did it, but never did. Misleading, perhaps. Lying? Perhaps? Coerced by the studio execs? Dunno.

After some investigation, I found this, apparently from an interview with Brown:

'Asked if he would do anything differently in his career, Brown told Metro: "The show that followed the Lottery predictions purportedly revealing how it was done.

"The level of scrutiny from Camelot, the BBC and the government meant we couldn't finish it the way we wanted, which was to have a fishy explanation about the wisdom of crowds followed by a massive twist."

He added: "We weren't allowed to do the twist so we ended up with the fishy explanation on its own, which is not how I like to treat people."'
