Wow, it's taken years between books? Ouch. Kinda glad I only just recently heard about the series. I'd hate to have to wait over a year between a book.

I'd get the fifth one, but even as an ebook it still costs $15 and I'd rather wait for that price to go down first.

Having just finished reading the second volume of A Storm of Swords, I hereby propose that we enter the phrase 'A Song of Ice and Fire' into the English language, with the definition being 'the name given to a process wherein things continually get worse'.

If I were talking about the books, I wouldn't have read four of them.

Fallible, I take it you haven't read the Storm of Swords yet?

Just got the first two books, having watched the series. About 200 pages into Game of Thrones so far and all is well!

You should definitely read the second.

I'm very much wondering for how long you-know-who was planning the you-know-what at the you-know-where. He gave quite a vague answer when asked, and it leads me to think that he was planning it since the beginning, and it would have happened no matter who was you-know-whatting with his co-conspirator's you-know-who.

Good, well, so long as that's cleared up. At least you-know-what you're talking about.

Oh I shall read them all. It's just that while I'm doing this 50 book challenge I don't want to read stuff I want to take loads of time over. I'm on my last book though, so I hope to get back to Westeros soon.

Fuck knows what you're on about, but it sounds cool.

They don't take that long to read for me. I read volume 2 of A Storm of Swords in one sitting. However, I do have rather more free time than I usually do at the moment.

You'll know what I'm talking about once you read it. Now I'm not saying it is zombie alien robot vampires from the future, but nor am I saying it's not.

I like to take my time over books I know I'll enjoy. I normally read quickly too, but I like to pore over Mr Martin's output.

Edit: oh well thanks for ruining it for me. :dopey:
