I'm on my phone, so no quotes. Well, she seems like that to me mostly. Not all the time and certainly not with her daughter, but yes.

Did I say mainly? :teef:

Also, the sex actually was well done, Ev. Very feminine in perspective. Craig certainly doesn't blow anyone away, though, does he?

No, sorry, I was just agreeing with you about Craig. Not meaning to suggest that you were implying anything.

I've just seen that one David Davis has posted a review of Pale glint of the Sun on Amazon, which makes for a most gratifying read. I'm guessing this is DaveD, who said upthread that he was going to read the book.

Thank you, Mr D! Much appreciated.

I only wish my review had been as well written as the book! (I moved a few bits of it round, and left a stray word by mistake.)
The sentiment of the review was well deserved. The book is readable, which I think is the most important quality any book can have. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I don't think anyone would struggle with it.

I notice, by the way, something that I didn't know about Amazon, which is that reviews posted on the UK version of the site (amazon.co.uk) don't appear on other versions (amazon.com, amazon.de etc).

Amazon's waiting period since the previous free book promotion has now expired, and I have arranged for another one to run from 1st to 5th July, starting and ending at midnight Pacific Standard Time (which I believe is nine hours behind BST).

So if there is anyone left who would like this book for free, you can have it from this Wednesday!

I hope, by the way, that those who downloaded it before Scar created his cover for the book will be able to download it again and get Scar's excellent work.

Doesn't look like it. I tried to buy it again (for free) but it said I already bought it. So I re-downloaded and it still shows the old cover on my Kindle, but when I go to my 'Manage my Content and Devices' page on Amazon and look it up there it does show the new cover. Again, really not a big deal.

Hehe. I bought it yesterday. Happy to punt in a bit. I've spent more on a cup of coffee.

I'm a slow reader though. Mainly because I only read books on public transport time which is rare now as I walk to work lately.

I saw there was a purchase in Canada and wondered who that was!
