Keep It Real wrote:Cheers dude! It's called Gobla's Den because it's really about Gobla getting out of the house and facing up to the real world I reckon. Also in the dream he (I?) was very much in the Hobbit hole. Dunno why I chose girders for the title page...hmmmmmmmmmm...nope, no eye dear

That's cool, just thought I'd ask :) Keep arting!

I plan to - very much so : )

OK here it is. The weirdest thing about this...which I was reluctant to relay because it's just so totally bizarre and improbable....anyway as I was finishing it off my girlfriend of the time came round, had a quick look through what I'd done so far (having seen NONE of it until that point) and produced this golden badge from her pocket. WT actual F.

Here's the stencil I made today, as you seem interested SAM, 3 layers; basically a winking pointy clawed panda reading a book. Her/his right eye will be winking, his left eye just a dot and there will be a symbol on the spine of the book each time I put it up drawn on with a pen, the colour of which will match both eyes (which will first have to be prepped with tipex/white paint as they reside within a black layer). Haven't blammed it up anywhere yet but I'll post a pic when it happens. Only 5 inches high. :)

I like it.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

So here's the first Pointy Panda blam. The surface was a bit rough so lost some definition. Decided to keep this one black and white as it's the most panderish colourscheme. The second pic shows some context.

Here's the second blam - much better - that's actually silver paint, not white.

Put this up an hour or so ago. I think I prefer it with more space between the elements...

Very nice. You have a very clean style. But why is the 'b' lower case? It's bugging me. :teef:

Cheers medears, aaaaah, jolly good point...why lower case....I intended the c to seem in lower case too...I mean I hope it's clear that she's doing her English lang/lit reading...perhaps I was thinking (subconsciously?) that all caps = shouting? :dunno:

I've worked out how to solve the problem of layer misalignment (they're all a few millimetres off as you can see) so the next one should be cleaner still :smoke:

Chuffed to entertain, US. I've never heard that expression before. Everybody who walks past that Candyman blam (and it's in a very busy commuter underpass) will be illuminated (assuming, that is, they've actually watched the flims).

ETA: And quite possibly even if they haven't; the Candyman films' main concept may well have passed into Urban Legend I think, much as does the Candyman in the flims...

Outlined this one today after blamming up the silver last week. This stencil is 14 or 15 years old; it's so weird how they've stayed with me all these years, although I far prefer my more recent ones for the main part...

That's Mr. Tickle from the Mr. Men series of books, if I'm not mistaken.

The headphones stencil I put up is next to/below this awesome piece by the mighty POGO. I was lucky enough to be walking past as he was putting the finishing touches to it and we had a chat. He gave me a few invaluable tips on technique - really friendly, open personable geezer. His other pieces (the ones on his twitter anyway) are also fab IMO. I put my oldest stencil there (the headphones) as a tribute/thank you/mark of respect.
