Juuuust pass over all your control. That's right, pass it over. No need to think about stuff, God will take care of everything. Don't abusive partners say that kind of thing?
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Well, I wouldn't phrase it like that.

That would be the same abusive partners that sasy:
Do as I command or be punished,
I don't want to hurt you but you chose it by disobeying me,
Its your fault that I have to punish you so...
Would it not?

Why is it so easy to find parallels between the claimed God & man relationship and that of the abuser and abused?

I was thinking of starting a new thread on a related topic, entitled, 'Does anyone actually find me interesting?'. Personally, I think I compare very favourably to Jesus , but I'm scared in case nobody replies to my thread. :(

Don't all rush at once to reassure me!

Learning to cope without positive strokes is character building.

I think there may be a Broadway musical in it...

How can Sesame Street's resident vampire not be interesting?
Once again, the only sensible approach is tentatively to reject the dragon hypothesis, to be open to future physical data, and to wonder what the cause might be that so many apparently sane and sober people share the same strange delusion

He needs a Gospel of Archibald. Maybe it would explain that cryptic stuff about the female therapist who asked him to call her by a peculiar name. Or maybe that's supposed to remain a theological mystery.

I am just going to wait 100 years and if I can't find any trace of you in the National Archives will have to ,sadly, conclude that you were a figment of my imagination.

Thanks everybody (except Fallible, obviously). I think I may now just be able to make it through another day.

Anyhows, back to Mr Oh-so-really-interesting himself....Jesus. Didn't mean to kill of the thread.

On a side note, am I the only person here who has been confused with Jesus, at, y'know, a 'key' moment.......in a bedroom, for example......?

Because, unless my office secretary is unique, I reckon we have to give Jesus due respect. I mean, how many of us (male or female) are gonna go down (ooh err vicar) in posterity (that's 'ity' not 'ior') in such a profound way?

IOW, the answer to the OP is surely, yes (and maybe another two or three yes's).

The Department of Tautology Department weighs in on the issue: The profounder, the deeper.

Or you can just go for the amateur founder.

The profounder quite delightful.
