I found Jesus

#1  Postby Agrippina » May 29, 2013 6:50 am

Kingaroy is home to former computer systems engineer and property developer Alan John "A. J." Miller and a group of about 100 people, including my hosts today, who believe him to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. Miller and his partner, Mary Luck - a former humanitarian aid worker whom he claims is his lover across time and space, Mary Magdalene - are the leaders of a New Age sect called God's Way of Love. They believe, among other things, that the planet will soon undergo a series of cataclysmic events, called Earth Changes, in which billions of people will die. The events, as Miller has described them, would not be unlike those depicted in the apocalyptic Hollywood thriller 2012, starring John Cusack. In fact, Miller has used it as a prop in his online seminars about "the end times".

Cool. Does John Cusack star in the sequel?
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

Jesus Reborn

#6  Postby the_5th_ape » May 29, 2013 7:17 pm

Former IT Specialist Claims To Be Jesus Reborn

A man claiming to be Jesus is gaining followers and causing concern among cult experts in Australia.

Former IT specialist Alan John Miller, or AJ as he prefers to be known, runs a religious movement known as the Divine Truth from his home near the small town of Kingaroy in the state of Queensland.

Mr Miller claims that not only is he Christ, but his partner, Australian Mary Luck, is in fact Mary Magdalene, who according to the Bible was present at the crucifixion.

He told Sky News: "I have very clear memories of the crucifixion, but it wasn't as harrowing for me as it was for others like Mary who was present.

"When you are one with God you are not in a state of fear, and you have quite good control over your body's sensations and the level of pain that you absorb from your body."

AJ? "Anuvver Jesus", perhaps?

Has he fixed a date for his second crucifixion? But judging by his photo, he looks well past his 'crucified by date'.

Poor deluded soul. Don't these Jesus freaks know that he has got to be crucified or else he can't save anyone from sin?

I found Jesus too. He trims the hedges in my complex.

I've heard this story before. Some bloke says he's the messiah and only a few people believe him, with the most sceptical being the ones that believe in a messiah, and eventually he gets crucified.

The only difference is that they crucify people on social media instead of nailing them to a cross these days.

There's many messiah claimants, here in the north of England. They usually reside in Rampton Hotel. I'm sure there are such "hotels" all over the world, which accommodate these "special ones, Gods!" :?

Unfortunately, these "hotels" didn't exist, in ancient times. ;)

Oh, hang on...Maybe the ancients called these hotels "mangers"?

I used to have a bumper sticker that read: "I found Jesus, he's in the trunk"

I wonder if this will lead to Australia's own "waco-type" stand-off with police. Maybe that's what a modern crucifixion looks like.
