Is a religion based on human sacrifice moral and ethical?

Abrahamic religion, you know, the one with the cross...

Really? That's standard middle ages theology isn't it. Anything else was considered heresy by the one true(tm) church. Marco de Dominius was burned at the stake posthumously for suggesting non Aristotelian ideas about the Eucharist among other things.

Did they frame it around logos, ethos and pathos specifically? I admit to not being a major fan of the scholastics, so could well have missed this.

Too which I ask, what about metaphysical emotions such as love, hatred, trust, etc.? Can these be demonstrated through actions/words? If such concepts such as love, devotion, trust, hatred, etc. can be demonstrated through actions and words than faith should also fall under that umbrella.

Often used as examples, and understandably so, but this is apples to oranges, isn't it? Of course we can demonstrate emotions through actions and words, but there is never any doubt as to the existence of the thing or person the emotions are geared towards. Of course one can likewise demonstrate ones faith through actions and words, but that only demonstrates that one has faith, not that the object of ones faith exists. Of course - people may have emotions towards people or things or concepts that are not present or directly demonstrable then and there; they may hate a regime in a far away country, they may hate or love a concept or an ideology, they may hate or love people who are long dead, etc., but those things will at least in principle and in generalized terms be demonstrable, if not necessarily in that specific instance.

So to try and put my point shorter and sweeter; you can demonstrate your faith just like you can demonstrate your emotions, but when it comes to God faith, the object of that faith cannot be demonstrated like the objects of your emotions. Seems to me.

Isn't it more love as a concept? You can point empirically to the physical components of love, but they can be attributed to an evolved method for passing on our genes, combined with some incidental emotions that either aid or don't hinder survival. Love as an idea can no more be proven than can God as an idea. Like our god or gods, love is an ideal form.

Sex or sexual love is natural so that the species could survive

That's 'lust' rather than 'love', though, innit?

No truthful religion is based on human sacrifice; it is an invention of Paul.
