Actually the Gideon's makes pretty good rolling paper.

Would anyone be making all this fuss if it was a cheap Mills & Boon paperback that escaped combustion? Or, for that matter, a copy of Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion? No. But because it happens to be a copy of the mythology that so many uneducated morons masturbate over in America, we're supposed to regard this as "significant".

It's almost as lame as the treatment of food items as "icons", just because someone thinks they look like their imaginary magic man.

That'll teach him to read a book while driving.
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

This is the best their SkyDaddy can do? Keep a fucking book from burning? Really? That's it? How about doing something real, like curing all cancer patients at once, or regrowing amputated limbs, or removing excess CO2 from the atmosphere?

If this useless numpty did exist I wouldn't worship such a pathetic excuse for a supreme being.

I think there would be far more pressing concerns than for the book - like the innocent people who were killed and maimed, for example.

Well, obviously we can't know why God didn't prevent the accident in the first place because he is mysterious. Except when believers want to tell others how to behave according to "God's will", of course.
