Watched the first 4 minutes. It was so mind-fuckingly bad, taking one word Michael Portillo (a Tory, with no direct links to the governing labour party) said out of context and assigning a massive trail of abject bollocks to that word to concoct a fictitious scenario of the government controlling the media - even though the whole discussion was only in regards to the BBC presenting organised news.

In the actual quote the broadcasters in question were the BBC and not the independent news networks, like Sky, ITV, Channel 4 etc.

Well, the truth is that the film came after Star Wars, but the brilliant book, the original source of Muad Dib came before, and was one of the biggest inspirations for Star Wars. So it's like they can sort of catch some of the links between things.... well in a strange deranged way...
