Russian Governor Tells Tale of Alien Abduction

#1  Postby DoctorE » May 06, 2010 9:05 am

The aliens came for him on September 18, 1997. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov was at home in his Moscow apartment when they came in and abducted him, taking him to their space ship where they communicated with him telepathically.

That’s the tale Ilyumzhinov told a popular Russian television host in a program that aired last week. Rt_Kirsan_Ilyumzhinov_100505_main

But Ilyumzhinov isn’t simply one of the thousands who claim to have been abducted by aliens, he’s also the governor of the Russian republic of Kalmykia and a former president of the World Chess Federation.

Now a Russian parliamentarian wants Ilyumzhinov questioned, fearing he may have given the aliens “secret information,” according to the Echo of Moscow radio station.

And not just interrogated by anybody, but by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

I wonder if World Chess Federation will also question him... After all, he may have given away our best gambits to Arcturians.

Hmmm, what the aliens are up to now.

Maybe they were after his massive petroleum reserves to use in their fleet of Toyota Starcruisers?

That would be Prius Starcruisers. Aliens are green. Literally.

Dam, NASA are so lazy, if only their crappy equipment picked up on this obvious UFO in our atmosphere this poor mans story could of been confirmed instead of being ridiculed by anyone with half a brain.

This is awesome! Is there a youtube video or something I can watch him say this? The funny part isn't that he admits he was abducted by aliens, but that the Russian president now is afraid he may have leaked intelligence to the aliens! That's why I'm proud to be an American! Where at least I know I'm free!

To be fair to the UFO crowd, this article (if true; it is posted on the abcnews blog after all) has to be considered as evidence that the governments have an awareness that UFOs exist. It makes little sense for the Russian government to be concerned about secrets leaking to a group or entity that they do not believe exists.

It's a tiny speck of evidence, and it's certainly not direct evidence. But that's how this article has to be interpreted if we look at it free from any bias.

Indeed. IF true being rather the key element here...

It makes little sense for the Russian government to be concerned about secrets leaking to a group or entity that they do not believe exists
The R-gov also might be concerned that somebody with inside information has gone wonky enough to possibly leak the said information out to just about anybody, never mind the aliens from Zeta Reticuli. So if there was any questioning, it may have been to (a) establish his current level of wonky and (b) if he actually has been talking to anybody at all about hush-hush stuff he knows of.

I like the idea of taking these reported abductions at face value from a security perspective. Clearly he needs questioning. Clearly the governor has either been abducted by something or fabricated a story (consciously or not), so state secrets clearly shouldn't be in his possession. Either story calls in to question his ability to maintain a confidentiality appropriate for state information.
I'd be suspending his access to confidential and higher level info, and questioning him until such a time as can be determined whether this was just a typical waking-dream-state abduction (which poses essentially zero threat to state secrets) or something else.
But then I'd be tempted to have him labeled unstable and unfit for his position immediately. Do they elect governators over in Russia these days?

Of course they are going question him.
If you think about it for awhile you may get why...
And it is probably not because they think he really was abducted by aliens. ;)

It's entirely reasonable to assume that some random aliens needed some sharp chess advice.

He also claims to have three witnesses...his driver, his minister and his aide. I wonder if he imagined their involvement or if they're claiming to have witnessed it.

You know Antony Flew? Maybe that is what happened with Ilyumzhinov. It happens as you get older. Poor guys, possibly being taken advantage of.
