Fracking or "Hyraulic fracturing" is a hot topic in the area I live.I am planning on attending a talk on the topic in the area soon, but wanted to get a balanced unemotional informed view if I can. Any suggestions?

I saw fracking in one of the CSI episodes, but I don't know much about it.

But maybe you can start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fracking

I saw it in the old Battlestar Galactica.

The documentary Gasland is about fracking. It was very interesting. I know there is a lot of controversy over it. I know it's been halted in several areas due to increased amount of geologic activity and environmental effects as well..
