Since Belgium is a small country it's common for people who go to college to get a room near the university they attend to spend the week there and go home for the weekends. If you consider that leaving home, 18.
If you mean being completely independent from my parents then 24.
I read this on the BBC website where they said they can't just turf him out because he's family. That seems odd.
Went off to boarding school when I was 15, but finally out and independent at 19.

I think we’ve had this thread before. Anyway, 18, when I went to uni. I didn’t go back when it was over.

I stayed at home during uni, as it was a convenient commute, with a plan to move out at 21 after uni. Months before I finished uni, however, my father died, and as an only child it made more sense to stay home for a while and support my mother than to leave as planned which would have left her unexpectedly alone. Left at 23 instead.
Shown the door at 17, was a relief really to get out of there had been pressured to drop out of high school and work to pay my way and give up my ideas of university. Found part time work and finished high school, and went to university and got some degrees, maybe I wouldn't of done this if life easier. This guy seems to have needed a court case to evict him, even if he had won, how would that have been?
18 for me, to go to uni and 22 before I bought my first home.
Mind you, that was in the days before $500,000 "starter homes" were a thing. I'd think that anyone who can save up enough to leave home before thirty round here these days is doing quite well.
I never left, when they see that Im not leaving they left home lmao. They are living in our summerhouse in Şile and coming for 2-3 months when its too cold.
