We have a pair of Canadian Geese nesting in a flower bed near my company's parking lot. They seem friendly enough. They certainly love the food the company employees have been giving them.

We'll see what happens when the goslings hatch out.

Providing they don't feel threatened/are used to people, they aren't going to kick off. Although I'd take that with a pinch of salt, as I've seen geese raised in captivity and very used to humans, get hyper aggressive once they have a nest. Their personalities do vary.

My sister rented a large house in the Brussel suburbs. It was a grand place with a large drive way which was home to a flock of Barbary geese. One male and numerous females. The male was incredibly aggressive. Getting out of a car and reaching the house without being attacked was a challenge. My sister never had problems with burglars.

I've seen white geese show aggression to people (including me), but never a Canada goose. They're so afraid of people here that they'll fly off without their goslings. It happened to me. I walked over the bank of my brook to go for a hike, not knowing they were there. The little goslings were in my brook and after the mother flew away they were getting carried away by the current through rocks and rough. I don't kn ow if they made it or not, that was horrible. :waah: :waah:

From Sendrak's link:

Canada geese in Cincinnati parks have been responsible for knocking people down and breaking their bones, and called "spitting, hissing, biting attack missiles".[7]

Must have been a cowardly strain.

I was attacked by a Mallard once :what: Kept on pecking my bare legs. Could not chase him off. He only went when a woman walked by and it went after her.
