Well, I went to contribute to that total yesterday but every single showing only had the first two rows left. Went to see Captain Marvel instead (good movie.)

The geek in me is happy the movie is doing well. The socialist in me is sickened by that amount of corporate profit. :p

The Korean Central News Agency, the official news agency of North Korea, issued a statement today claiming that the country’s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un, has already spotted all the Easter Eggs in the brand new Marvel movie, Avengers: Endgame.

In a broadcast on the state-sponsored news channel, a spokesperson stated that Kim Jong-un “spotted absolutely every single one of the Easter Eggs in Avengers: Endgame before anyone else did, and without having to look at YouTube or anything.”

The statement comes at a time of heightened tensions between the North Korean leader and Donald Trump, and is being seen as a challenge to the US President, who has yet to claim to have spotted any of the Easter Eggs in the movie.

I enjoyed it. Not the best Marvel movie but, lots of fun and hopefully the MCU will build on this "milestone" rather than just treating it as an end of continuity. The battle at the end was such a nice homage to so many epic battles that have taken place at the end of Marvel comics crossovers.

I'm not sure I could watch it twice, the first half was fine but exhaustingly long and slow.

I saw it as a film of three parts. The first part, the immediate aftermath of the snap, I thought was done well. They could probably have made more of the global devastation following the snap but, that might have been a little too dark for a Disney movie.

The second part, the heist, was where it started to drag a bit. Sure they had a lot of ground to cover but, some of that could been trimmed out completely.

The third act is basically everything post heist, which was all fairly epic and glowy. It could easily have been trimmed but, Marvel wanted to showcase all their active characters on screen for the final battle. So that was always going to run its course.
