It's as good as The Man from Earth.

When googling causes Monsters to turn up in connection to a film, I put it on my 'to watch' list. Coherence added to list.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Some people might get bored from that. I mean both films show a bunch of people gathering together having conversations.
Maybe you like something with more action like Edge of Tomorrow? That's enjoyable too.

A lot of sci-fi films these days seems to get lost with heavy CGI, and it's just not psychologically engaging to watch. I like watching these simpler discussion-themed films. It's about watching their interactions. The bizarre thought processes that goes through each character's minds as the conversation unravels. The suspicions and the resulting tension. The person that is seated just right across you might potentially be dangerous. So you have to decide, do you want to continue this conversation that seems to get more and more uncomfortable or take that drinking glass in your hand and smash it into his face. And then repeatedly stab him with the broken glass shards until he's dead. It's just like in real life.

What's it about? Just seen a trailer that was a dinner party where the lights go out because of a comet and everybody's scared because it's dark and strange things are happening for no reason.
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

Have you seen The Man from the Earth? It's a bunch of people sitting down and having a discussion. And the conversation gets bizarre. It starts real slow, but it gets really entertaining like a psychological thriller.

Get speakers on full volume and a new pair of diapers too. Forget the popcorn, you might choke.

I enjoyed The Man From Earth for the reasons given above, but it was a bit like watching an amateur dramatic presentation which prevented me from really enjoying it.

I'll check this one out later, cheers.

Valid point. But then again how do you define science fiction?

I'd say it was fiction that was based on speculative science/technology.
