Not that I'm complaining at all but I love the derail here.

For me, that's true only if their dark chocolate. I'm not really a fan of milk chocolate anymore. :dunno:

The Official Brand New Dr Who Thread.

#62  Postby melchior » Apr 03, 2010 12:13 pm

Tonight is the night for the first episode starring Matt Smith as the regenerated Doctor.

I think that he'll be good. I thought that Tennant got a bit stale towards the end of his run.

Will anyone else be watching tonight?!
Would you like a cup of tea with that?

No, it has just started.

I'm working, plus the football's on anyway. Although we're 6-1 up, so the football chat thread on another website has turned to how hot the new girl is looking. Is she? I might check it out later.

They trashed The Tardis. Half steam punk, half rubbish tip. Still, it is reverse engineered from the more advanced models they had back in the seventies.

 seconded. I will never insult gingers again.

Matt Smith was bloody brilliant. Story was a bit manic, but had plenty of those little unsettling moments that Steven Moffat does so well. But WTF have they done with the theme tune?? It sounds like something you used to play to get the hang of a Bontempii organ. Nasty!

I liked unsettling bits, but they kind of gave up on them after the first fifteen minutes, which was disappointing :?

I don't know about you guys, but the cloudy new opening credits gave me the impression that the Doctor would show up in a Superman outfit. It gave off a "this is a superhero show" vibe.

I notice he's now opening the Tardis with a click of the fingers - I suppose we'll be seeing River Song at some point?
