X-rated website Pornhub wants to send porn stars Johnny Sins and Eva Lovia into space, where sex scenes will be filmed.

The adult entertainment production company Private Media Group has filmed a movie called The Uranus Experiment: Part Two where the zero-gravity intercourse scene was accomplished by flying an airplane to an altitude of 11,000 feet (3350 meters) and then doing a steep dive. The filming process was particularly difficult from a technical and logistical standpoint. Budget constraints allowed only for one 20-second shot, featuring the actors Sylvia Saint and Nick Lang. Berth Milton, Jr, president and CEO of Private Media Group, says "You would not want to be afraid of flying, that's for sure!"

...but Pornhub and co-producer Digital Playground envision something more ambitious... filming in an orbiting shuttle. The anticipated cost of the venture is $3.4 million. Contributors to the crowd-funding effort will receive special "perks"...

How would they achieve this? In addition to various physical requirements of astronauts (which I'm sure some porn models could achieve), I would imagine many space agencies would be hesitant to be part of this. That is not to say I have anything against it. Sex is sex, nothing wrong with it as long as everyone involved are consenting adults. However, a space agency would likely not want to be associated with this due to particular image/PR issues.

I don't really see what the interest is. Sex is sex, I can't see that doing it in zero-g would be any different except perhaps that it would be harder work. Nothing to push against.

It's already been done while falling. But there are many reasons why it's a great idea. The potential dialogue being the main one.

Yes. Additionally, the projected budget ($3.4 million) seems rather low, given that it would be a minimum of two passengers. That's if one of the actors doubles as camera person, setting up the camera selfie-style. More likely it would be three (2 actors plus camera operator). According to the Wikipedia site on space tourism, orbital flights cost a minimum of $20 million per person...

The publicized price for flights brokered by Space Adventures to the International Space Station aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft have been US $20–40 million, during the period 2001–2009 when 7 space tourists made 8 space flights. Some space tourists have signed contracts with third parties to conduct certain research activities while in orbit.

Even the suborbital flights (like Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic) will be in the region of $200 000 per person. And that wouldn't be much different from what's already been done (original post in this thread).
I think anyone investing money in this would likely be falling for a scam. A movie might be made, with the zero-G effects faked in the usual manner (green-screen compositing, etc.) and the "sex in space" hype basically being a marketing ploy / deception.

Lotsa [non-sexual] training involved, including adapting to microgravity so as to not lose your lunch at the wrong moment.

Perhaps, for the sake of pragmatism, they'd line the inside of the orbital vessel with plastic sheeting... sort of like Dexter's "work" room.

Well as far as I understand it is not healthy for all that equipment up there.

I'm Sceptical about the accomplishment of this project for the next reasons :

1.Which Space Agency can accept to be associated with porn industry ? We can't forget that they are tied with one or many states.
Example : NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is tied to USA. ESA (European Space Agency) is tied with the majority of European Union states.

2.When we know that they need to transport the actors then operators with the material. We know that it is really expensive.
When we know that illegal copies are a reality in porn industry. We can conclude that they risk to fail if they want to make a profit.

3.The fact that they use crown funding make me think that they want only to do a bit of marketing.
