I actually quite liked Prometheus.

That said, my expectations weren't particularly high for it, and I wasn't terribly fussed that Scott rode roughshod over the series continuity. At the end of the day, he makes great looking films, but has little talent for plot, pacing, internal consistency or characterization; and that's going to apply to anything new he makes as well as belated prequels and sequels to old classics.

Same here. I thought there was enough there to make up for some of the plot flaws, and I rather liked its ambiguousness that left much of it open to interpretation.
