Wish I could find the cactus/file scene online.

Very enjoyable so far....2 episodes in ....Geoffrey Rush a good choice for the older Einstein.

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/genius/s01/

The magic year of his 4 papers is well done....

The Annus mirabilis papers (from Latin annus mīrābilis, "extraordinary year") are the papers of Albert Einstein published in the Annalen der Physik scientific journal in 1905. These four articles contributed substantially to the foundation of modern physics and changed views on space, time, mass, and energy.

What a time in history ....Curie, Jung, Planck, Lorentz, Poincare...the list is long
His wife Mileva Marić is highly profiled as his partner..

ABBA's song Fernando mentions the Ariana Grande, I think.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Bonanza! Ha.

It does have a curious charm. An extremely sexist sort of charm, though.

Other thing I started watching the other day is Sense8. It's interesting so far. Rough around the edges, but the diversity in the cast is refreshing. And some of the optics are interesting. I like Nomi. I spent the first few episodes yelling at the screen, "Fuck you, Will! Can you not hear words? Help Nomi! Sayid from LOST told you to help Nomi!!"

On the the Picasso version section of Genius.

The Einstein section should be up for some awards. Informative and well acted and heart breaking but sure limns the brilliance of his break throughs and does an decent job of illustrating some of the eureka moments.

Antonio Banderas is a very good choice for Picasso. I know very little of his life ..certainly genius showed early on.

Castle Rock started off dull, got better, peaked in the penultimate episode, and then ended with a giant fuck you to the audience.

Trust featuring Donald Sutherland as John Paul Getty. Slightly whimsical but enough curiosity to keep me wanting to watch more of it. Don is from the Seventies but part from his three most famous films I cannot think of anything else he has done
My favourite Don film is Klute with hot little Jane Fonda from 72 a tight paranoia piece from Alan Pakula who also directed the equally tight paranoia piece The Parallax View and then finally the daddy of all paranoia pieces All The Presidents Men

The documentary on afterwards was very interesting and I was rather glad to learn how we stopped Getty from taking The Three Graces out of England to his gallery in America by of all people his son. The comment about their fat arses and ugly faces is tosh. Arses and faces are perfect without any blemishes on them which is why the sculpture was bought for 7 mill

He's done some good stuff over the years. I liked his character Oddball in Kelly's Heros.

That gif is at least 20% cooler than the ones you normally post.

American Vandal 2 finished really strong. I didn't like the crime as much (toilet humour really isn't my thing) and I felt that it probably wasn't as strong as season 1 overall, but generally a good watch.
