I can't fathom the stnge decisions Fox made in airing this show.

Have you seen Dollhouse, Thomas? Another of Joss Whedon's short-lived series. It lasted longer than Firefly, and at least they had enough warning to give it a proper ending. I really liked it. But don't watch it expecting it to have the humour that Buffy or Firefly has...

I'll give it a try.

I should warn you that it takes a while to get you really involved. In fact, when it came out, previewers said the same: i.e. stick with it for at least 6 episodes. During the first half of the first season it was just like it was telling new stories each week and then it switched to this pretty continuous story line that continued to the end of the show and was IMO very gripping, and very moving.

I don't think that British old lady (none other than Charlotte Rampling, but don't worry!) is the bad guy. I think she's quite sincere that the killer is an old patient. There's some speculation that she thought Harry about psychos and the 'code' which was taught to Dex. Looking at it again I think they may be spot on.

While I'm here, does anyone remember the British show of the same name hosted by erstwhile Doctor Who, Jon Pertwee? (Or is it just me?)

Under the dome... People acting like not people at all. And where the fuck is all their power coming from "We have generators." Oh good.. So your fine for 24-48 hours.. and then what?

Whodunit. Looked like a great set up.. And then they packed it full of the worst human beings I have ever heard of... Seriously which person on that show is not a conniving mean, cruel and fetid waste of skin?

Other Shows - Siberia, a Fake Reality TV show, the set up. Reality TV show where producers try to keep it running despite shit going wrong, Was more fun when I first thought it really was the producers fucking with contestants. now I know everyone is in on it (Scripted) it's less fun.

Web Only - Stripsearch. http://penny-arcade.com/strip-search/ What happens when you make a reality tv format show, stick nice people in it, in a competition to find a new web comic artist... It's now complete, I can recommend it, it's in 20 Min chunks. Go watch it.
Edit: Start here with Strip search http://penny-arcade.com/strip-search/ep ... s-assemble

So... how about that scene at the end of Defiance, with Irisa staggering dramatically from tree to tree through a back-lit forest at night, a la X-Files UFO moment, whilst Time After Time plays over the top. That's some of the best "acting" I've seen in ages. Almost as good as Shatner fighting a lizard alien. Such an emotional scene, too...

It made so much sense as well, really fit the pacing of the episode and everything.

Finally, an actually funny episode of Ultimate Spider-Man, featuring Deadpool.

"Forget S.H.I.E.L.D., forget rules, forget that these shiny sticks are swords and hop right on!"

I first saw Deadpool's personality in the video-game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. It was a bit of a disappointment, then. I thought he was Deadserious. I came around, though. 8-)

I watched the second episode of the final season of Dexter. meh

Deb has apparently committed her second murder, and the old british lady is still being set up as the big-bad.

I'm hearing good things about the new season of Dexter but I stopped after Season 1 so can't be arsed.

When is Sherlock coming back? :lay:

I can only rewatch the first two seasons so many times. Luckily I haven't yet found the cut off point.

Sent from my phone somehow.

Having now seen episodes 2&3, I wish to revise my original review of "amusingly crap"; it's just crap.

What a snooze! I don't think I'll be watching any more.

Yep. In 2014. It said as much after the credits of season one.
The guy above is Johnny King. He's a drummer in a black metal band called Altar of Plagues. I used to do some rapping in his previous metal band, RATM and Cypress Hill covers (I do a mean B Real). Great gigs. Good times.
He really looks the part

Season 2 of the Newsroom starts tonight. I'll get to watch one episode on widescreen and then it's back to watching streams on my computer...

I just watched it, so didn't have high expectations, but found the ending leaves an interesting question in my mind, i.e what are Pam and Eric going to cook up to get out of there, and, presumably, to get Tara and that other vamp out as well...

I really enjoyed Defiance, but yeah some scenes lol

Datak Tarr is probably one of the best villains I've seen though, at least for a Sci Fi series.

I'm also enjoying Falling Skies
