I'm currently watching The Walking Dead, season 4, episode 10... with the volume turned down because of that frickin' baby. Could it be any more annoying!? Jesus Christ on a pogo stick!

Anyway, I'm glad they're all finally out of that prison and on the road again. Things seem to be getting interesting again, especially after the climax of episode 8.

I finally started watching Babylon 5.

My problem with Walking Dead is that the writers string you along episode after episode with no plot development and slow moving boring stories and then, just when you are about to give up on the whole thing, they throw in a whammo episode that is exciting, and unexpected, and moving, and then rinse and repeat.

:this: is the reason I stopped watching.

Season 2,3 &4 are the best.
1 was trying to find its feet.
5 was a left over after they thought it was going to be canceled after 4, that's why 4 rips along at quite a pace.

They keep killing off the characters I enjoy watching. The end of season 3 was almost unforgivable for that reason. I'm only watching it for Carol, Beth, and Tara. The last in particular.

Speaking at the 2014 ComicCon, the writers/producers stated that season 5 will hew closely to the comic book series. Not having read any of the original Robert Kirkman story, I don't know whether that's a positive or a negative. I have, however, seen a few random panels during an image search of Charlie Adlard's artwork... including one in which Coral ...er... Carl gets shot in the face!

I really want to enjoy House of Cards, but finding it difficult to get around the forced similes. The writer writes as bad as a donkey trying to shake off a pen stuck to his foot I do.

I watched two episodes of the Kevin Spacey House of Cards before deciding that it was a pale imitation of the British House of Cards trilogy...

I really like the new G'kar in season 3 of Babylon 5.

A bit more gritty than Star Fleet.

The G'kar / Londo story ark is one of the best features of the show. The two actors where good friends, that really helped. There was a plan for them too play someone from the other's race, but sadly it never happened. :(

I've given up on The Strain. It's too goddamn campy.

Uhmmm.... the Twilight movies were a campy vampire series. Dark Shadows was campy.

The Strain may be flawed, but campy is not an adjective I would use.

The characters don't act very much like what I would expect of real people and there are too many convenient plot elements to be believable.
