The Whispers

Odd ending, there. If Drill was possessing Minx, why would it have all the kids point at her?

Watching Louie, season 5. Some very good moments, including this one :

Bobby, Louie's brother, eating yogurt : Can't believe this comes from a cow's pussy.
Louie : Euh... You do know that it comes from their tits, right ?
Bobby : No, milk comes from their tits, yogurt comes from their pussy !

Binged Silicon Valley's first 2 seasons.

Great show. Kind of the antithesis of The Big Bang Theory, in the way Silicon Valley was made by geeks for geeks, whereas BBT pretends to be.

Fear The Walking Dead premieres tomorrow (Sunday 23 August) on AMC...

“Fear the Walking Dead”: 10 Things to Expect
by Melissa Roth

It may be a spin-off of AMC’s wildly popular series “The Walking Dead,” one that shares the same creator (Robert Kirkman), but “Fear the Walking Dead” depicts a very different world. The prequel to the original is set in Los Angeles, the polar opposite of rural Georgia, and the new series explores what happens to a city before the zombies and the apocalypse take their toll.

For over a year, the production of “Fear the Walking Dead” was shrouded in secrecy. Now that the show’s August 23 premiere is approaching, the cast and producers are sharing enough information to whet viewers’ appetites. Here are 10 things you can expect from “Fear the Walking Dead.”

Some people (including io9) are complaining it was too slow...

Personally I thought it was perfectly paced. The ending was pretty cool.

I don't even care about the reviews of such sites, but then again, I find it to be a surprise, if not a fucking insult to television, that The Walking Dead series lasted more than a season and a half.

And now, not only are they in the, what, 6-7th season, they get a spin-off that deals with the origins of the outbreak, which, I'm guessing is because they couldn't be even bothered to get to that in all the boredom of the original series.

I guess appreciation of fine zombie apocalypse drama is an acquired taste, so to speak.

Well, what I witnessed in the first season and a half was not even close to drama. Just eye-twitching stupidity. There was one other show, which was even more infuriating and it far out did TWD, despite actual action and drama, and that was 100.

I was soooooooooooooo looking forward to this. I totally love TWD and assumed that FTWD would be the same.

It was like watching paint dry or having a conversation with a fire hydrant. I was almost hoping that our power would go out and end my misery. Why did I keep watching it?

I assumed it would simply have to get better so I let it drone on and on. Yes, the last couple of minutes were great, but by that time I was ready to pack it in.

I’ll watch the next couple of episodes to give it a fair break, but if it’s more of the same ‘slow-paced un-action', then I’ll wait for Oct. when TWD returns.

apparently Drill has a really loud scream that reaches across the galaxy.
Also why the fuck would Minx behave the way she did the interrogations when she knows that she'll likely be imprisoned or worse if people think she is possessed.

And why the fuck would anyone go on television to announce an alien invasion to the public at all? Especially when virtually nothing was known about the aliens, or the threat they pose, or whether others were around, or if it had truly been eradicated?

Stupid show. The lead actress should go back to American Horror Story.

Just noticed Netflix removed the warning that IT Crowd was expiring soon. Hopefully this means they just renewed the license. Netflix has tricked me like this before, though, so I'll check back on the 1st to see for sure.
