What does everyone here think about this Reagan-film controversy? Will Ferrell backed out of the movie, because of backlash from the Reagan family, the GOP and people.

They are all saying that liberal Hollywood aims to poke fun at Alzheimer's and are disgusted.

Personally, I think they're missing the point. I don't think the film's focus would've been on the ex-president's Alzheimer's, but on the ex-president himself. The fact that someone who was basically an actor could become the president of the United States. The utter ridiculousness of it.

And the utter ridiculousness of a Reagan presidency is about to be topped by a bankrupt real estate trust fund baby with bad hair and a spray on tan.

Huh! The director's cut version of Terminator 2 fixes the sound dubbing gaffe in the mental ward.

Eh, no.

No. He appears that way only to draw in voters. There's plenty of politicians like that.

A real maniac, the sort capable of starting WW3, will never get voted in. You can thank the Illuminati for that.

Honestly. I'm not sure. I heard about some early comments of his from years before, saying he'd run as a republican, because he'd win them over using a certain rhetoric, but I'm the same way with satire, these days. Sometimes it's hard to tell genuine conservative stupidity and rabidness from acting.

Before clicking on this thread, I figured the odds are in favor that y'all are talking about a superhero movie. A few posts in a row without it, I'm impressed. Until Captain Kramerica comes out. It never ends does it? Wasn't there already a Captain America movie? Superman vs Batman? I'll have to start work on a "Stubby vs. Buddy" film.

I don't see the difference with the Disney movies

There was also a Shield movie with Hasselhoff as Nick Fury. This one should be a lot of fun.

Those look terrible, even by superhero movie standards. :P
They should remake Superman 4 too then. :dopey:

Saw Captain America; Civil War at the weekend. Rather slow to get going, you need to have seen the previous Cap movies and there are probably too many super-characters crammed in. But it is great fun IF you are a Marvel fan. Loved the way they handled Spidey. Hilarious.

I loved Spiderman when I was a little kid, I probably saw that and enjoyed it. Superman was my favorite. I never read any comic books though.
