I liked the original. Though I never saw the original original.

The music in the new one was so Zimmer-y I saw this guy -

And thought, Why is he always in this guy's films?

It was only a minute after I realised, Wait! This isn't a Nolan film.

It even used Sheppard tones. Unfortunately the awesome soundtrack couldn't evoke the emotions I was supposed to feel at certain parts. And I got weepy a couple of time in the final episodes of Breaking Bad the previous night, so I know I'm not a Replicant.

Oh yeah. There was a lot of crying in this movie. Including a Replicant who cried every time she killed another Replicant. I mean, c'mon. You get used to it after three or so.

That's an easy one. Try saying, "She sells sea shells on the sea shore. The sea shells that she sells are sea shells no more." ten times fast.

Well, that's what a replicant would say.

I wish I had a girlfriend who provides exposition to my life like Blade Runner does.

Looks like Blade Runner has been dragged down to 90% now the rest of the critics have seen it. Another 35-40% to go.

I thought it was good and didn't understand why it wasn't more popular.

Idem. It's a funny self-parody of his action movies.

Will be interesting to see who watched in 3D versus 2D. :coffee:

Blade Runner 2049 is heavy with portentous and pretentious hoo-ha.

maybe

...and it's audience that counts ..

3-D, especially the post-production garbage, would be detrimental to a visually striking movie like 2049. I don't know why you'd want those colours muted with dark glasses.

Down to 87%. They must've given the pre-screeners snacks and drinks and a goodie bag.

Watching Commando. So terrible. At least it's funny bad. Unlike Blake Runner, which was just bad.
