I'll also quietly note that I didn't say I hadn't ever seen any of these movies before, or even that in general I'm adverse to shit movies. Buckaroo Banzai and Johhny Mnemonic are absolute classic shit movies.

I found Hot Fuzz simply tedious, your mileage is free to differ.

The first one was bad enough. :P

The only film worth watching with Pegg and Frost in it is The Worlds End
The only other thing worth watching with them in it is the series Spaced

Searching|. It's one massive Apple advertisement, first off. But it's actually not so bad, gets tense right up to the last minute. Only Hikaru Sulu the second (nerd alert) acts well in this movie; in all though, worth a watch.

The answer to Searching is telegraphed the first time we meet Vick but it's blink and you miss it.

Finally got around to watching The Invitation. That's what a slow burn is supposed to look like. The buildup was so nicely done that I didn't even care what kind of film it turned into.

Also watched Halloween (2018) tonight. Pretty good. Lots of call backs to, and switching around of, moments in the original film. Liked that they didn't replay it as just a slasher movie (still plenty of kills) or a copy of the original - feels more like an extension of the original story and less like just another sequel. Jamie Lee Curtis is still a helluva a lot of fun to watch.
