I have been an intermittent visitor hear for the past few months. I only now read this sad news.

I haven't been active here in years, and just came here to adjust my account settings. I decided to take a quick look at the forum, and the first thing I saw was this. Her passing is very sad news, and I have nothing but good memories of our interactions. It is good to see that so many more feel the same, and that's a testament to what a fine person she was. She will be missed.

thanks - we're ok, it's been up and down, naturally...it was our daughter's 20th last week but went smoother than i expected, she's talking about her mum as well, which is good..it's that eerie, quiet period after the funeral and everything are over...

i'm not sleeping brilliantly but signed off work at the moment so at least i can work to my own schedule - all the business stuff is pretty much done apart from her car getting collected by the finance peeps, so the next step will be sorting through all her things..not looking forward to that one

Still think about her every day. Still can't wrap my head around her not being here to quip at me. It feels like she should be here to quip at me for being a drama queen.

Glad to hear you're holding up OK, Tony.

And good luck with going through Heather's things. I recently had to go through my Mum's things after she died, and I often got to the point where I just needed to stop for the day. What worked best for me was doing small chunks broken up with walks if the weather was good enough.

While it may seem quiet now, know that you and Meg are in lots of people's thoughts, wishing you both all the best.

thanks, mate - it's a tough week, definitely, so knowing that is appreciated...thanks for the advice, that's the way I've been approaching most things, interspersing with walks or drives...
