US, I left no comments here, because I am shit at it. I'm glad you were there to help Fallible. We didn't always agree, but I sure came to respect her. Our forum is diminished without her here.

gawd no, i've just explained my rationale to someone in pm and will post it here (these are only my words so shouldn't go against the fua)

"i knew she could be a prickly character at best and her conflicts on here as just as testament to her character as the good stuff is

mainly i'm logging in to see if i can identify any times shes talked about megan - we've had many a long heart to heart and she mentioned once that she wished heather had written a 'final message' to her about how she felt about her so she could keep it - the end came so bloody quickly that no-one had time to have any of those 'final words'"

i wouldn't dream of removing her words from here...in fact, meg has searched 'fallible' and 'cancer' and alighted on this and other forums and got some comfort from things she was reading

that's very much appreciated, mate - i get it completely, i'm dreadful enough with words and worse when it comes to stuff like this

i think she sparred with most on here over the years but gawd knows we can't get on with everyone in this life! i'm sure there's been plenty of water under the bridge since that, as an occasional visitor, i wan't always party to!

and there can be a huge gulf between liking someone and respecting them, and that's fine

hoping that the memorial tree gets planted soon - they tend not to do them in jan/feb with the frosts but i'm sure covid isnt helping either

it's her birthday next week so meg & i are installing a bird table in the garden for her - i'll update once it's in place

Linking this here only bc it might not show up in a search:
Fallible wrote:My daughter has been obsessed by that wolf for years.

Also, basically, if Megan ever does get the tattoo, she should consider sharing the result. :)

bless you - i'd forgotten about that one

i'm not saying there will be much but meg's life from her mid-teens to now has been swallowed up by her mental health issues, mine and then fall's cancer, so it's impossible for her to see past all that to the good times and memories and the way things were...oh, and that wolf is very much my fault, after meg watched me playing it when she was little and then asked me about it years later...

'tis fallible/heather's birthday today so the destroyer and i decided to put a bird table in the front garden in her memory...thought people may like to see...

and, yes, i noticed they missed an apostrophe...which would drive heather mad...which is rather amusing, tbh...

 I love it!

I actually had a series of dreams about Fal the other night. She drove over from Canada to kick my ass at video games. I don't know if she even liked video games, but that's what dreams are for. The woodchuck made an appearance and let her pet it and pick it up like a cat. I warned her not to. I don't think that would go down well in real life. :)

sounds just like her...
she wasn't a massive player - she loved world of warcraft and used to enjoy the myst games but we could never persuade her to fully engage in our hobby

it's a regret of mine that we didn't make it to canada together, though

yes, the squirrels are the ones i'll have an eye on - the main reason it's in the front is at least i won't be luring the birdies to their doom with the dogs in the back

All I remember from my dream was Mortal Kombat. I tried to play those Myst games back in the day, but lost my patience. That sucks you didn't get to see where she was originally from. Near Niagara Falls iirc.
