How much is a human life really worth in your view?

#1  Postby aufbahrung » Oct 10, 2019 7:15 am

Doesn't have to be a exact number. In dollars or pounds or rubels etc....you know your own currency best. At what point would you take the money and run over that Kurd with a tank?

Depends. A Kurd. Trillions. Trump. A MacDonalds voucher for free coffee when you buy a Big Mac.

There's nothing that I could think of that anyone could offer me that would make me okay with taking some random person's life. Which of course isn't to say I'd never kill anyone under any circumstances, but it would have to be a pretty extreme circumstance.

Same here. I wouldn't even kill Trump, for any amount. So to me a human's life is worth more than Jeff Bezos' bank accounts.

You need to turn it round the other way to get towards a monetary evaluation.

The question, if you're looking to determine a person's value, is how much you'd spend to save them.

Then there's what you'd pay for them at auction.

Valuation isn't cut and dried.

mmmh, the likes of frump or erdogan, I'd not spend a red cent to save them if I was the only person in position to do so, others, well, that's another matter, though I'm quite poor, and selfish to boot.
