About a week after the last surgery, the insurance compagny tells me that they won't reimburse it. They changed my contract earlier this year, without telling me, and now they don't pay me because "pre-existing affections are excluded from the contract". So apparently, being a transgender is an "affection", and they won't cover it, as opposed to my previous contrat.
I'm so sick of all this shit, so tired to have to fight every single fucking step of the way.

The lawyers helped get us into this mess, big time. They love your money, regardless. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Sometimes it rains. But you always have to dress for the baseball game.

That's the insidious part of all this. I can't afford a lawyer. I don't have the strength to fight something like this anyway.

You sue somebody, and if you don't win your claim, there are no fees. If you do win your claim, you get to keep 1/3 of your award. This might mainly be a US problem, but people from other societies might weigh in.

Here's a summary :
October 2018. First major surgery. My insurance compagny tells me, several times, "if we cover the surgery, we cover all expenses". They did cover it, but I was left with 3000 euros to pay.
February 2019. Second surgery, which my insurance wrongfully declared as cosmetic. 8000 euros to pay.
June 2019. "Cosmetic" surgery. 10K euros. I knew I would have to pay for it myself. No problem here.
July 2019. I'm asked, out of the blue, to pay back 2000 euros, because 2 years ago I got too much unemployment benefit apparently.
August 2019. My employer cheats with the sick leaves to avoid paying me.
August 2019. The insurance compagny refuses to cover the latest surgery. Don't know yet how much I'll have to pay, but at least 2000 euros.
