Whether I'd want to teach until the end of this year.

Now begins the task of steering the narrow course between getting the content across and encouraging the learners to engage with the material in a critical way. Don't believe everything a teacher tells you, but also don't discount everything a teacher tells you.
From what I have read of your posts here, you seem well suited to that task.

Yes. Just returned from school to collect the books and to get re-integrated into the IT systems.
Will be teaching 2 second year classes, one in English and one 3d year class.
I've also been invited to join the 2nd years schooltrip to Londen and Hastings.
Colleagues were happy to see me and welcomed me back. Apparently some students had also been asking whether I would be returning to teach this year.
When I walked back to my bike, a couple of students opened a window and welcomed me back.
Very happy/content.
Starting tomorrow to check and see where the students are with regards to curriculum. Apparently my predecessor could not handle the pressure of teaching all years on his own (understandable), so he had signalled he wanted to reduce his hours.
Doing this apparently took som etime, as the students I will be teaching haven't been taught history for just about 6 weeks.

That's amazing. I'm so glad you found your place there. I'm sure it will greatly improve your life in the next months.

You're a good chap Thomas, I can tell. Read what I said to tuco tonight in the rant thread - it might help. Regardless, I genuinely wish you well. Best wishes.
