Hey McIver and trubble76,

I think it was a combination of things; some stress (financial worries) lack of any exercise, ten years of smoking between around 1994 and 2004, a really crappy diet that included way too much fat and salt (even though I've never been heavier than ten and a half stone ((I'm not sure what that is in kilos)) ). I've since found out that maternal grandfather had heart problems and my uncle had a heart attack a year after me! So an interesting mixture really.

So you are right, I'm making the most of my second chance, and I've never felt fitter!!

Hi Mitts,
I'm glad you're ok now. You're lucky someone was here when it happened. Take it easy, 39 is way to young to go.

Be carefull now, I saw this documentary once, where Death runs after those who escaped Her.

Edit : realized now that the thread is 7 years old...

Long time since I've posted on this forum. But I just wish to add that life begins at birth?

At my age life begins every day I wake up...
I have NO BELIEF in the existence of a God or gods. I do not have to offer evidence nor do I have to determine absence of evidence because I do not ASSERT that a God does or does not or gods do or do not exist.

A life controlled by fear is worthless, is what I've learnt. Whatever time you have left, give the finger to your fears. At least, give it your best shot.

Ora non e importante.
Il resultato futuro e importante.
Quindi, persisto.

The lyrics of this song may be appropriate for this thread.

Lyrics
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Hello, I'm Terry, and I'm going to enjoy myself first
It's good to be wise when you're young
'cause you can only be young but the once
Enjoy yourself and have lots of fun
So glad and live life longer than you've ever done
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Never right, yes I know
Get wisdom, knowledge and understanding
These three, were given free by the maker
Go to school, learn the rules, don't be no faker
It's not wise for you to be a foot stool
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as you wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
