In every respect except size, I like the Storz and Bickel Mighty much better than the Pax3. It has a much less restrictive vapor path, and that cooling unit on the top really brings the temperature of the vapor down to near ambient temperatures.

It's about another hundred bucks cost over the Pax3 (around $350). Those plastic doo-dads are a small grinder and a filling funnel that really neatly mounts to the top of the thing in place of the cooling unit to fill it. I doubt I'll continue to use that filling aid, but it is pretty clever.

The heating column and oven is housed in the center column. The two side columns contain the standard 18650 lithium ion batteries. I like the separation of the batteries from the heating elements.

In use, the top area of the heating column gets slightly warm to the touch, but never hot. The vapor produced is smooth and doesn't get a burnt or toasted flavor. It's going to take some time to re-acquaint myself with vapor instead of cannabis smoke. It's a lot less dense.

So far, I am well pleased with Storz and Bickel.

A friend dropped me off a gram of some nice Indica. I’m more a Sativa fan. Nothing special, but does the job. Reckon they’ll let me have a card now?

The Perseids have started, and buzzed meteor watching is seriously fun.

I have pineapple trim that I get cheap from a licensed caregiver. I make it into capsules rather than smoking, so I can't vouch for anything to do with actual pineapple. It looks more like weed/leaf trim to me.

Maybe it's bad and you're addicted, maybe it's just something you enjoy and having something to enjoy is good. Ask your doctor.

What my doctor tells me is as good as you do. Appreciation/education, there are risks and perhaps talking about them more often would hmm balance the thread. Now being aware of the risks, being informed, I still rather ask you than a doctor. Does that mean its bad? ;)

Not as bad as some other habits, especially ones that change your mood. Inhaling smoke is bad no matter the source, and after being diagnosed with mild emphysema I read some papers and it sounds like smoking cigarettes and marijuana combined increases the risk of emphysema over just smoking cigarettes. I had quit cigarettes 5 years before being diagnosed with the emphysema, but could have had the emphysema for years without even knowing because I have asthma and the symptoms are identical. Asthma alone, or with cigarettes is also a risk factor for emphysema. It's not possible for me to tell whether it was the marijuana that caused it, but I quit smoking it the moment they told me about having emphysema. If I had a kid, I'd advise them to not smoke anything, ever. I haven't heard a bad word about taking it with food, and don't have any serious side effects, except for the munchies, which are a lot worse than with smoking. I've gained 30 pounds, which isn't good. But the marijuana isn't making me put food in my mouth, and I'm also on much stronger medication that causes weight gain, again muddying the water.
After quitting, I have never breathed better in my life than right now, and breathing tests give a lung age commensurate with my chronological age. So smoking it was still exacerbating my breathing symptoms even though I couldn't tell at the time.
That's all I can do, tell you about my experience. The act of getting high probably doesn't hurt much, but the smoking definitely hurts at least a little.

I am glad I found one of these dry herb vaporizers. Filtering smoke through cool water may cool it some small amount, but it's still smoke. My doc was unconcerned about cannabis use, so long as I didn't smoke the stuff.

Like you, I smoked cigarettes. For some 22 years. I quit after 57 year old Mom, RN, handily out-paced me on a day trip walking around in Paris. My new shoes that day were killing my feet, but the truth was, my lungs couldn't do it. That's when I decided I'd stop what damage I'd done to that point.

Using a bong is tolerable, but is still pretty damned irritating. I forgot how smooth the vapours are in contrast. I'm glad the bong is no longer prime.

Water bongs are also so irritating because people tend to inhale more smoke at one time than with a joint. I think bongs also filter out some fine particulates, but you'd probably have to change the water between every use to see a benefit. I've tried putting ice cubes in the bong water and that helped cool it more too. Quality vaporizers are better than smoking. I haven't read up on them in years now though.

Yeah, they’re pretty good. The ones on the other side give us brisket and montreal style smoke meat from their smoker.

Haven't had a weed curry yet, but it doesn't sound that appetizing... maybe I'd need to be stoned first?

Along similar lines, I tried to process the toasted bud I collected from using my vaporizer. The idea was to steep it in water for a few days, then dry it in the oven, finally extracting the THC using alcohol.

I got as far as the drying it in the oven. It smelled a lot like roasting shit mixed with wet dirt.

It may have the best THC ever, but I’m not using that shit, it smells bad. I mean, bad. Bad, like your body tells you it is fucked up, don’t consume it, bad.

Ok, so I am not entirely sure why, but my partner went to a local high end shopping mall on Sunday, one that often has artisanal craft stalls and the likes, and came back with a single solitary gram of weed. It is, apparently, just outright being sold publicly now, despite that not seeming to really align with what I've read of the law.

In essence, recreational smoking is still illegal, and marijuana products whatever they are - even home-grown for home-use - have a maximum THC content.

Apparently, the stall owner asked her in some depth about my smoking habits and finally alighted on selling her the most potent shit.

I thought it was going to be, at best, some kind of super skunk.

I was so wrong. I used half a gram to make 1 joint, I smoked 2 or 3 puffs of that joint. I then tripped balls for hours, and still have a hashover today, 2 days later!

I've never smoked anything like it - it's absurd even to consider it the same drug as normal weed - it's like going from drinking a normal lager to having rice wine injected into your eye balls.

I still have half a gram left - but for the first time in my life, I have no intention of going anywhere near it until all jobs, duties, and bodily functions are completed for the rest of the work week.

ETA: I meant illegal, not legal!

Apparently I've been living under a rock - which is actually pretty much true as I've been buried in classes the last few weeks - but mid June the laws were relaxed even further, and insta-magically, hundreds of dispensaries have shot up overnight.

https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/heres- ... ngkok-map/

A friend shared this link in our little cartoon development group, and I glanced at the page only to find that there's one open just a few doors away from me! :D I actually thought I caught a whiff earlier this week, but put it down to taste flashbacks to that last gram of insanity I had.

So now it's gone from drought, from being extraordinarily careful not to get caught, buying in bulk and rationing it out, to now having to not act like the proverbial kid in the candy store (which is exactly what the shop looks like) - the strains on sale are not, for me at least, the kind of high I want to experience frequently, or to get into the habit of smoking - way too potent.
