In every respect except size, I like the Storz and Bickel Mighty much better than the Pax3. It has a much less restrictive vapor path, and that cooling unit on the top really brings the temperature of the vapor down to near ambient temperatures.
It's about another hundred bucks cost over the Pax3 (around $350). Those plastic doo-dads are a small grinder and a filling funnel that really neatly mounts to the top of the thing in place of the cooling unit to fill it. I doubt I'll continue to use that filling aid, but it is pretty clever.
The heating column and oven is housed in the center column. The two side columns contain the standard 18650 lithium ion batteries. I like the separation of the batteries from the heating elements.
In use, the top area of the heating column gets slightly warm to the touch, but never hot. The vapor produced is smooth and doesn't get a burnt or toasted flavor. It's going to take some time to re-acquaint myself with vapor instead of cannabis smoke. It's a lot less dense.
So far, I am well pleased with Storz and Bickel.
