MGTOW - Philosophy/Lifestyle.

#1  Postby DaveDodo007 » Nov 10, 2013 8:39 pm

Men Going There Own Way. Is a label that has been given to a naturally occurring phenomena. It seems to have come about by the lack of traction the Man's Rights Movement had, basically it fell on deaf ears and met a hostile reception from the Mainstream Media. Some men are going there own way through circumstances which they have no control over. Most are choosing to go there own way because they see no other benefits to being part of a unfair system.

The MGTOW site which I would like you to read if you are going to comment on this thread.

http://www.mgtow.com/

The MGTOW from a woman's perspective is also worth a view.

I would be interested in your comments but at least read the links first.

Just thinking aloud but I think the hostility the MRM and MRAs are met with (I generally find they're laughed at but once advocating violence against women and acquitting people of rape in the face of overwhelming evidence feelings comes up, it's not funny anymore) by the general public is a response to their extreme hostility towards women.

Maybe you can answer my question though: who are the migtaws who actually have gone their own way? Because, in my experience, they just bluster a lot, insisting I'll be sorry when they're gone, and never leave.

Is there anything in the links worth reading?

Lots of misogyny.

Lots of aspects of my life are deeply unfair too but I have to keep moving forward. Living in poverty is a very real issue for me. I'm not paid what my equally qualified male colleagues are. I'm actively discouraged from pursuing the career I want because of my gender but if I DON'T work and stay in that nice domestic mommy role I'm labelled a leech and, after giving a six hour presentation I worked for months on, the response I get is "I really like your hair." It sucks. I don't bluster, telling people how much they'll miss me when I'm gone and threaten to deprive the world of my magnificence though because I'm not important. I exist within the system and speak out against the aspects of it that I see causing needless difficulty to myself and others. It's all you can do.

Probably best if you didn't mix up A Voice For Men (AVFM) with the rest of the men right movement as they are but a small part of it. They do seem to have gone hardcore and to be copying the tactics of the radfems. Whether this is a good move by them, well time will tell, I personally think they jumped the gun as MRM seems to be getting media attention a lot of it negative but at least they are being heard.

Maybe you can answer my question though: who are the migtaws who actually have gone their own way? Because, in my experience, they just bluster a lot, insisting I'll be sorry when they're gone, and never leave.

That's is probably my fault and a few others who are trying to promote the mgtow movement which I do because I like what they stand for. Most the the mgtow are already ghosting and are off the grid. It is a bit unfair to blame them for loud mouths like me.

My advice to everyone - men, women, uncertain or other, is just live your life the way you choose. Stop worrying what other people think of you. Make your motto "go fuck yourself". The opinions of others have zero value if you don't give a shit what they think about you. The number of people whose opinions actually matter to me can be counted on two hands.

MRI? :what:

Btw, the Avfm article on female disapproval reads just as well if you change MGTOW to WGTOW, and all the references to women to men, etc. etc.

E.g.
WGTOW comprehensively rejects and delegitimizes any necessity for male approval or sanction. WGTOW is women thumbing their noses, giving the finger to the notion that women live by the grace and favour of men.

There is a fair bit of misogyny in the mgtow movement and I'm not going to judge them for it as most of the members of mgtow have been through the meat grinder that is the divorce courts. So many have lost their houses and if they had children well they lost access to them to. Lots have had to pay alimony and even had to spend time in jail on false DV charges (no evidence given.) Most living in a bedsit or trailer park while still paying most of their wages to their former partner.

I glad they are allowed to get the hurt and how wronged they have been of their chest. Though in the end and as a lot of philosophers have said 'hatred is like swallowing poison and expecting it to hurt the focus of your ire by osmosis.' In the long run they just use their bad experience as a warning to others, a selfless act as they don't want other men to suffer the pain that they went through. I commend that they let themselves be a beacon so others can avoid their mistakes.

Where you see misogyny I see men helping younger men avoid their errors.

Probably my fault again as I should have pointed out that I thought it is the best pro-mgtow piece written by a woman, sorry for your disappointment.

In that case I have to say that your standards are disappointingly low then. If that's the best then I would hate to see the worst.

Dave,

What a hilariously fuckwitted page you've linked us to.

Gynocentrism? Seriously?

Have you considered the organization called G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS)

I hear they have a treehouse!

In as much as that site contains correct statements they are blindingly trite, In as much as it contains original statements, they are wrong or inaccurate.

MGTOW is a parody site, right?
