Since no one here has apparently noticed that the deadliest mass killing in modern times in Canada occurred Saturday-Sunday in rural Nova Scotia, I'll note here that 22 innocent people were murdered by an insane person who drove a mock RCMP car and wore a fake Mountie uniform during his spree killing.

We’ve noticed, we even spoke about it in the rant thread. Unfortunately there was little coverage.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.

Could you link me?

Yes, a massacre in the midst of a pandemic probably gets a bit lost, still a bit disheartening to not see it so much as mentioned when American news gets covered so extensively.

There was just a handful of posts in the rant thread.

Part of my not posting it up as it occurred is it is still unfolding and really did not think this thread the correct spot. Frankly it pales in comparison to the catastrophe unfolding in New York City daily.

This was part of the issue - 16 crime scenes and people still missing.... I'm still getting conflicting information between 22 and 23 dead tho that could be 22 victims plus the shooter dead.

BBC had good coverage starting the 20th. Don't give a fuck about the US papers.

Robert May 1936-2020

One of the foundational contributors to chaos theory, and eventually Baron May of Oxford.

From his wikipedia article:

Although an atheist since age 11, May stated that religion may help society deal with climate change. While referring to what he believed to be a rigid structure of fundamentalist religion, he stated that the co-operational aspects of non-fundamentalist religion may in fact help with climate change. When asked if religious leaders should be doing more to persuade people to combat climate change, he stated that it was absolutely necessary.

Omg yes. I love that song. Unlike a lot of post punk bands where the keyboards were a flourish in the composition, Greenfield’s work was integrated and vital. I couldn’t get enough of this track in the day, and couldn’t imagine it without the keyboards:
