Was an Iranian physicist, officer in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and physics professor at Imam Hussein University in Tehran. According to the UN Security Council, Fakhrizadeh was a senior Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics scientist and formerly head of the Physics Research Center (PHRC).
His motorcade was attacked and he was killed by gunfire.
