That's a good one. :)

I always gripe about how bad education is, especially language teaching.

I still have to get Skype, though. snap.

Skype is free. You can get a mic in India for about 100 bucks in India (which would be around 2-3 Australian Dollars, I think).

The other impediment is being at the arse end of the world. Any time that would be good for me is horrible for anyone else.

We've had a long discussion with LionIRC about triangles and perception. :)

Oh come on peeps! Where there is a will, there is a way. Time zones, Skype, microphones... when have these stopped anything good from happening? :nono:

I'll get Skype, just in case. Besides, my uncle wants me to find him on it, so we can chat. We're doing the same on MSN, but he says Skype is better. :dunno:

We'll see.

This sounds absolutely great. Didn't read the entire thread, just an fyi. But I'd love to be part of this someday (once I graduate of course)

Will we be able to download it? =D

You know what? Nats is correct. We can still do this. Even if it reduces to a few people essentially rambling for 30 minutes, who cares? We can develop a system as we progress. I'll send out an email tomorrow night. We won't be making any episodes this year, but we can probably make some in January.

If there are not many ideas for the show. Maybe take some of the popular threads (like the Jesus one) and get a panel to discuss the issue for as long as they want then move onto the next issue/thread on the cards.

It WAS a great podcast whereby people could submit their own pieces.
It was a mixture of experts and academics, as well as average every day people.
It was incredibly popular during its short run.

In my opinion it is the very best possible format for a podcast for this genre.
Which is probably why the people here want to emulate it.

How about doing one each month starting from January? We can fix a date (say the third Saturday of every month) and then see who are the guys interested to participate and then someone among that can propose a topic and so on.

Suggest a topic and a possible date and time.

(Just don't make it too specific a topic! :D )

I would love to hear a podcast on Psi research. It would be great if we could get Jerome and Mr. Samsa to feature on it.
