No, it can't.

I know it can’t. That was sarcasm.

The whooshing sound that sarcasm made as it flew over Psikey's head is eerily similar to the sounds that two planes made right before they struck some iconic towers in a completely well-explained act of terror.

Yeah if I was 17, it would be so much fun listening to some know it all adult trying to explain how to analyze the skyscraper behavior without knowing the distributions of steel and concrete.

There are SO MANY high school physics teachers explaining how David Chandler is full of crap. No wait, but then they aren't agreeing with him either. Does the silence mean they can't figure it out?

It's only "surviving" if you consider a game of Whack-A-Mole to be alive.

Actually it goes back to 2006. In those earlier days we used to have problems with the database if threads got too long. So every 1000 posts or so - if my 77yo memory is correct - we would start another part of the thread.

My first post was on 14 Nov 2007 from my UTC +11 Time zone. And I was the first engineer to post in the thread. When - to make sure everyone realised they has a new boy on the block - I opened my first post with these paragraphs:

The supporters of 9/11 conspiracies build on the same foundation as the creationists - poor logic, worse science together with distortions, lies and deliberate deceptions.

The paper referenced as Engineering Reality by Tony Szamboti is typical of many which look impressive in detail to the non-engineer. The complex calculations may even be correct but the base premises are faulty and the resulting conclusions can readily be demonstrated to be totally wrong.
So - a deliberate play for the members who were - still are - mainly from the biological sciences ...then an unsubtle assertion to say "We have an engineer posting now so time to stop playing games with the physics...

..I was certainly naive. MY personal goal was "Let's clear up this silliness about CD at WTC....so we can discuss the real issues which lie in the political/behavioural domain. I thought "Give it a couple of weeks to settle the CD nonsense then we can have real discussion..."

So I suppose in hindsight that must set some sort of record for naivety.

I'm still explaining the WTC physics to support my hypothesis of "CD assistance was not needed" << avoiding the issues around "cannot prove a negative. :naughty2:

So hello to psikeyhackr - I'll sign off as "econ212" - psikey can explain.

And cheers to all my still active "colleagues of long acquaintance";
