A Prayer for Boston and for Us All

#1  Postby Edward G » Apr 16, 2013 6:03 am

Dear Father,

Today You had it in Your plan that many at the Boston Marathon should experience a terrorist attack. There have been injuries; some have gone home, and still more may cross over to You. We accept in faith that Your plan will be revealed to us in time, but until then we pray for the rapid healing of those who will live, the glory of heaven for those who have gone home, and the courage as a nation to act with the power of Christ against those who have wrought these evil deeds.

If there is a lesson to be learned, we want the wisdom. If there is love to be shown, we want to be its instrument. If good can come in the face of disaster, we will wait for it, but if war has come again, may we exact Your perfect wrath upon those who have harmed the innocent.

Place upon the heads of those who suffer now and those who mourn Your perfect peace, dear Lord. Let nothing be in vain.

In the name of Christ, we pray. Amen

Br. Edward

As the blood is still being mopped up and those who are victims of this incident still fight for their lives. I'd ike to take the opportunity to troll the skeptic forums with a message that flagrantly disregards their policy on preaching.

Was anyone seriously expecting much else? Christianity is a death worshiping cult. Whenever I hear someone announce they are about to pray at an event I am attending, I generally give a 50% probability of god being thanked for something twisted/evil, with the implication it must all be for the greater good.

Anybody who sincerely "accepts in faith" a plan that involves innocent people having limbs ripped off by a shrapnel bomb should be in jail or a psychiatric hospital.

This surely is what the FUA clause for banning obvious trolls is for, no?

More people are blown up by bombs every day in Iraq & Afghanistan - why are you only now posting prayers on this forum? Don't all those other dead & injured people count with you?

but those who 'wrought these evil deeds' were acting in accordance with your god's plan, mere pawns in his sick and nasty scheme.

I see you've managed to piss everybody off. Happy now? Feeling any better?
Why don't you make yourself really useful and go give blood or something?
Phew... for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself.....

This is why we should never accomodate religion.

This is why we should never accomodate gods.

If your God did exist it would be necessary to destroy him.

What a cuntish thing to do. I would like to see you stand in front of a father, wife or son of one of those who have been killed in Boston yesterday and tell them it was part of your god's loving plan. They would most likely tell you what they think of your loving god and of you.

Strange how these things propagate, isn't it.
