However it is totally dishonest to use that mistake to justify your misrepresentation of an earlier post.
Are you totally incapable of arguing ANYTHING honestly?
How can it be dishonest when you realised your mistake AFTER I posted?
What are you accusing me of...knowing in advance that you were going to revise your post?

Lion IRC wrote:The moral argument for God is a complete non-starter if you reject objective morality. (Hackenslash!) Failure to accept a premise is NOT a refutation of that premise. The argument only proceeds IF you accept the idea of objective morality.

1.Some aspect of Morality (e.g., its objective force) is observed. (Moral realism)
2.Existence of God A Higher Objective Authority provides a better explanation of this feature than various alternatives.
3.Therefore, to the extent that (1) is accepted, belief in God A Higher Objective Authority is preferable to these alternatives
Quite a few people here seem to (mistakenly) think that the moral argument is an argument for the existence of objective morality. It is NOT. It's an argument for the existence of God.
The existence of objective morality has not been refuted. Therefore the MA has not been refuted. And it wont be until/unless its first premise is refuted...and you dont refute something by opinion.

Yes it is an assertion. (All premises in a syllogism are self-asserting.)
Its not worded very well but hey. Its just Wikipedia.
Whats implied is that if objective (human) morality does exist, then it logically must transcend temporal humans.
This points to God. (If you dont like the God conclusion use a different place-holder.)

But lookee here: we have Lion playing backseat mod, something he so oft complains about.

Still, it is kind of fun pretending to be a Mod.
